Studio
The Finca was the former atelier of German artist Wolfgang Simon (b.1940).
Wolfgang Simon studied from 1957 to 1962 at the Berlin College of Fine Arts. From the late 1960s to his last days, he lived in Andalusia and dedicated his life to the conservation of this land, forming the Finca Montamero Biological Reserve while continuing his work as a printmaker. As such, he equipped his studio for woodcut, linocut, and letterpress printmaking.
Shared Areas
As we are situated on 2.8 hectares of plot, we are able to provide plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces, such as a kitchen, library, large covered patio, gardens, 1 indoor/ 1 outdoor shower, laundry machine, 2 toilets, 1 compost toilet, caves, sunset spots, large rooftop, and more.
All of these areas could be utilized both for work and recreation depending on artists' needs. It is important to keep in mind that these areas will be shared with others, as such common courtesy rules will apply.
Rooms
We have 3 private rooms for artists, all equipped with a bed, desk, chair, and wardrobe.
